Project of our association "Rehabilitation and reintegration of mine victims through water sports," which is financed by the "Weapons removal & abatement U.S. Department of State", was in the 31 Awards finalist for Social Integrations, which ERSTE Foundation for the third time assignes to organizations that develop and implement projects related to social integrations.

Competing for the award, which was officially awarded in Prague on Monday 20th June, were 132 projects from 12 countries of Central and Eastern Europe (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Kosovo, and the Slovak Republic and Slovenia).

This award for our association means the real satisfaction and recognition of previous efforts and work with disabled people. A prize amount 16.000 euros will be directed in future projects aimed to help this socially sensitive category.

Andreas Treichl (Andreas Treichl), Chairman of the Board of ERSTE Foundation and Executive director of Erste Group, presented the first prize with the words: "We launched this award in 2007., because we believe in the existence of a society without prejudice and with equal rights for all. However, in order to create such a society, everyone needs to contribute. These organizations which have won dedicate their work to achieving this goal. At least we can do is to publicly reward their commitment and excellent results and to try to follow their example."
